FAQ and binding
Hello there! If you are coming here you probably have a question. Let's see if I can answer that for you!
Q- How long are PDF downloads available?
A- PDF downloads are available to download from the link that was emailed to you upon purchase for 30 days. Please save them in a safe place. If you lose your download, I will email you a new one for up to one year (365 days) from the purchase date. Please note that after the 365 days, lost downloads are not replaceable and will need to be repurchased. Paper patterns are not replaceable.
Q- I'm looking for more information on binding, where can I find it?
A- I used to hand bind my quilts, but have switched to machine binding over the past few years. You can see my binding tutorial here.
Q-Can you tell me how to adjust my pattern to make it a different size or from a different precut?
A- A lot of time and testing goes into each one of my 150+ patterns. If you would like to adjust your pattern in any way I won't be able to provide the math/cutting/yardage adjustments, you will need to do that on your own. I wish I could help but it's just me here and I don't have the time or manpower to rewrite patterns on an individual basis. So sorry about that!
Q- Where do I find info on the navy and gray version of Sweet
Escape?
A-You can find the info for making the navy and white version here.
Q- Does my pattern include the fabric to make the quilt?
A- The patterns on my website are not kits, and only include the instructions to make the quilt, not the actual fabric and materials.
Q- Do you sell fabric?
A- No, not usually. Once in a while I sell some scrappy fat quarter bundles here on my site, but they are first come and usually sell out very quickly.
Q- Where can I buy your fabric?
A- Good question! The newer lines are readily available, and can be found in many local and online quilt shops. Unfortunately, I have no way of knowing which shops carry which lines, but a quick phone call to your favorite shop or google search should help you locate what you are looking for.
Q-Which Moda solids match this fabric?
A- If you take a look at the right sidebar on my blog you should see a link to the introduction from each of our fabric lines. Most of them (except the earliest ones) have coordinating bella solids listed on the pages. That should give you a great place to start. Moda also has a color card online here.
Q-Why can't I find your older fabric lines?
A- We (my mom and I) design two fabric lines for Moda each year. A certain amount of fabric is produced for each line, and shipped to shops around the world. That fabric will be available until it sells out and the next line is available. We design all of our lines to play well together, so don't be afraid to mix and match in your projects!
Q-Can I sell products made from your patterns?
A- Sure! As long as you are just selling them on a smaller scale (shows or small online shops) that isn't a problem at all.
